“...ambitious, eclectic, barrier-blasting, uneven, ultimately wonderful cornucopia of Beethoveniana...”-John von Rhein, Chicago Tribune

“The decidedly non-stuffy Young Turks at High Concept Laboratories ... are in part behind Beethoven Festival 2011. Embracing tradition without being beholden to it, the five-day program welcomes 70 musicians from varying schools of classical and contemporary music — along with a handful of filmmakers, scholars, and actors — to explore Beethoven's works.”
-Stephen Gossett, Flavorpill

“...May well be Chicago’s hippest and most inclusive classical festival to date, but what really makes it special is its community vibe...it’s not surprising that many of Chicago’s hottest acts—Ensemble Dal Niente, Fulcrum Point, Spektral Quartet, Anaphora and composer Mischa Zupko—jumped on board. “
